The study of theology is an effort to make definitive statements about God and His implications in an accurate, coherent, and relevant way, based on the Word of God. One of the main tasks of emphasizing theology is to ground content creators' efforts in the Word of God, while teaching words that do not divide but unite, that do not create conflict but unity; words that do not hurt but heal.

The word theology comes from two Greek words, theos (God) and logos (Word). Practically, it is obedience and faithfulness with the goal of living a life of worship.

It may be used to propagate, reform, or justify a religious tradition; or it may be used to compare, challenge biblical criticism, or oppose irreligion, a religious tradition or worldview.

Regarding theology and content creation; the central pursuit of theology is to better understand God’s nature and how He works in the world, then use that knowledge and wisdom to be culturally relevant in a way that disciples each audience.
