We have entered a period of tremendous upside for the independent film business. The cost of making content that’s worthy of theatrical release is now a lot less than it was a few years ago, and the profusion of digital services like Netflix, Hulu and Amazon has reached a critical mass. There is an arms race for content, and that has created a perfect storm for independent film.
